Task 2: Game trailer basics

Game trailers:

·        * Includes the title of the game (usually at the end of the advert)

·        * Includes graphics from the game. Either throughout the whole trailer or in shots while being played

·       *  Includes some introduction to the plot (if there is one)

·        * Voice overs- mostly from the characters if the game focuses on a plot, a narrator if the game is less serious e.g. Kinect, games for children

·        * Fade out’s and fade in’s used a lot.

·         *Music complements the style of the game: survival- tense music, relaxing-happier

·         *Uses ratings (pegi), warnings e.g. may contain content inappropriate for children, contains violence, sexual themes etc…

·         *Shots showing people enjoying the game- big smiles, families, friends, mesmerized….
